Poor old Ovince Saint Preux has revealed that he got the call to fight UFC legend Jon Jones while waiting in the queue for some good old Kentucky Fried Chicken.
The pair will face off at UFC 197 in three weeks’ time for the interim light heavyweight title after champion Daniel Cormier was forced to pull out of the main event due to injury.
“I was just out running some errands. I had actually just pulled up to the drive-thru, I was at a KFC,” Saint Preux told the MMA Hour of the phone call.
“The lady just asked me what I wanted and I went ahead and paid the lady but I didn’t want the food any more.
“I knew I was going to have to go on an extreme diet.”
