Bellator’s Jordan Parsons is in a coma fighting for his life after being seriously injured in a car accident.

The 25-year-old featherweight was walking home on Sunday morning when he was hit by a motor vehicle in Delray Beach, Florida. Parsons had the bottom half of his right leg amputated and was in critical condition, according to MMA Fighting.

His friend and Blackzillians training partner Rashad Evans has since posted an update on Instagram claiming that Parsons is fighting for his life in a coma

Parsons (11-2, 2-1 Bellator) has been competing under the Bellator MMA banner for his last three fights, finishing his first two opponents before losing via split decision to Bubba Jenkins in November. He was scheduled to take on Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 154  in San Jose on May 14. It is expected the bout will be scrapped and a replacement opponent will not be brought in.
