A good, honest exchange of opinions that got ugly in double-quick time.
It is a shame that Artem Lobov has just stepped down a weight division otherwise this could be one to really watch.
‘The Russian Hammer’ was never going to keep his opinions to himself when UFC welterweight Matt Brown stuck up for his new teammate T.J Dillashaw.
Dillashaw had just lost a split decision, on Sunday, to lose his UFC bantamweight belt to Dominick Cruz.
The scoring was mixed, to say the least, and Brown was not pleased with the outcome.
Lobov, who is scheduled to fight Alex White at UFC 196, next month, responded to Brown: ‘You get paid to train together… do you get a bonus to say that?”
Lobov’s ‘snake in the grass’ hashtags date back to Conor McGregor accusing Dillashaw of jumping ship from Urijah Faber’s ‘Team Alpha Male’ after winning his bantamweight belt.
That elicited a feisty, crass response from Brown.
@RusHammerMMA real original there buddy how does Conor's dick taste in your mouth?

Lobov did not take that lying down – or any other way – and fired back two more tweets.
He began: ‘Sticking up for TJ after 1 month training… must be love at first sight!’ and added:
Beat up your coach, sell out your team…and as part of the warm up they stab each other in the back at #TeamSnakeInTheGrass @IamTheImmortal

Brown’s last fight was a submission win over Tim Means at UFC 189 – the same night Conor McGregor defeated Chad Mendes.
One would not be surprised if he tried to coax Lobov – fighting featherweight [145lbs] next month – back up to the weight divisions.
