The strawweight limit is 115lbs but the commission will allow 1lb of leeway for fighters in non-title fights.
That left SBG's Daly with 2lbs to cut in an hour but the 14-5 fighter made the decision not to take the health risk of cutting any further weight.
Traditionally, fighters who travel longer distances for fights, i.e. Dublin to Vegas, have a tougher time making weight due to the energy-zapping nature of jet lag and the length of time it takes a body to get accustomed to new surroundings.
UFC regulations state that fighters who miss weight will be deducted 20% of their fight purse but the financial risks were, thankfully, less important for Daly than the health gamble.
Ais "The Bash" looked worryingly drawn out during the first weigh-in but will hopefully rehydtrate fully and be back to her best for tonight's make-or-break fight.
