If you won big on an each way punt on Vics Canvas you owe Robbie Dunne a pint.
The Irish jockey came home third in today’s Aintree Grand National on Vics Canvas at a massive 100/1, which would be normally cause for celebration as it is.
But Dunne almost became a falling statistic as he was nearly unseated by his mount at Becher’s Brook first time around.
Somehow, despite a massive tumble, and the horse falling to its belly, it got back up, Dunne held on and recovered enough composure to come home in third place.
AP McCoy described the recovery as the best he has ever seen, and we’re not going to argue with the great man.
Unbelievable recovery from Robbie Dunne on 100/1 shot Vics Canvas who eventually finished third.https://t.co/v9recgUCMT

It was simply sensational, and to finish third after something like that was out of this world.
