The Home of the Brave, the Land of the Free, the 2016 Ryder Cup champions.
Team USA have ended their eight-year Ryder Cup drought on Sunday after beating the Europeans 17-11 on Sunday.
Davis Love III’s men cruised to victory after coming into the final day singles matches holding a three-point. This left Europe with a very tough task if they wanted to claim an unprecedented third Ryder Cup in a row.
Ryan Moore’s win over Lee Westwood was enough to secure victory for the Americans but the highlight of a day of action-packed, high-octane, good walk NOT spoiled (only improved) action was the clash between Europe’s Sergio Garcia and the American veteran Phil Mickelson.
A quick glance at those scores should give you an idea of the standard of golf that was being played.

It was such a tense game that saw both competitors go tit-for-tat on the fairways and greens that when the pair finally halved the hole, Mickelson couldn’t keep his emotions in check.
After sinking the final putt, he took flight… for a couple of feet and pumped his fist. Although there was no way of telling for sure, he was probably the happiest man in the world at that moment in time.
