WATCH: Rory McIlroy’s incredible practice shot should leave the US Ryder Cup team feeling slightly worried

Ridiculous

Rory’s on fire… something something terrified!

The two year wait is almost over with the Ryder Cup finally kicking off on Friday. The first players are expected to be taking to the tee at around 1:35pm and Team Europe (that’s us!!!) will be hoping to claim an unprecedented fourth consecutive Ryder Cup.

One of the main men for Europe will be Rory McIlroy who comes into the competition off the back of a sensational performance at East Lake Golf Course last week to win the Tour Championship and a whopping $11.5 million in prize money.

If you were paying close attention to McIlroy last Sunday, you will have noticed a transformation. Each time he picked up a club it instantly turned into a wizard’s wand in his hands and when the club face connected with the ball, golfing wizardry ensued. Pretty sure his cap turned into a pointed hat at one stage too.

Now that we’ve hammered that metaphor into a bloody pulp beyond recognition, check out the amazing shot he sunk in practice a day out from the start of the tournament. 120 yards out, straight into the cup, pin still in and he made it look easy.

God damn it! “Americans” would have fit in perfectly to that Will Griggs chant rip-off.

You live and you learn.
