It’s crazy how things change.
the name Tiger Woods used to be almost synonymous with golf. The 14-time major winner at one stage was the greatest golfer on the planet and such was his dominance that he was arguably bigger than the sport itself.
Now, in 2015, Woods has dropped out of the world’s top 100 golfers for the first time since 1996.
The man who once spent a record 683 weeks as world number one has fallen to 104 in the latest official rankings.
The 39-year-old has not played since pulling out of the Farmers Insurance Open in February citing back problems. He admitted being hopeful that he could make a return to the good walk spoiled at some stage this year before announcing that he would be taking an indefinite break from the sport because of his poor performances.
