Video: Waterford hurler scores sensational improvised solo goal

Some incredible improvised skills from the Gaeltacht man

Neil Treacy

Dónal Breathnach, we salute you.

An Ghaeltacht got the better of Cois Bríde in the semi-final of the West Waterford u21 B hurling championship last weekend, and they were helped on their way by Dónal Breathnack, who showed some serious skills enroute to scoring his side’s second goal.

The centre-forward needed all his soccer skills to rise the sliotar, before sprinting through the Cois Bríde defence and firing to the back of the net.

If there’s been a better hurling goal scored this year, we haven’t seen it.

Hat tip to Odhrán Ó hUallacháin for sending it in.
