WATCH: Talented impressionist sends up GAA icons in perfect All-Ireland final preview

His Wooly needs work though

SportsJOE

This left us with tears in our eyes.

Conor’s Sketches has already won the All-Ireland final with this wonderful preview video that skewers everyone from Des Cahill to Paul Galvin to Tomás Ó Sé to Joe Brolly and our own SportsJOE GAA editor Colm Parkinson.

It is not just the mimicry though – he also skewers some common tropes throughout the GAA, such as Kerry obsession with kick-passing, Ger Loughnane’s obsession with guts, the paranoia and siege mentality that Davy Fitzgerald and Jim McGuinness share between them, plus Brian Cody’s hatred of Gaelic football.

Throw in the likes of Enda Kenny, Rory McIlroy and Bono and you have an entertaining five minutes.

However he saves his best for Bernard Brogan, which is hands down the funniest GAA impersonation we have seen yet. He nails the loveable, media-friendly Brogan.

Not to dole out all praise and no criticism, we will say that his Wooly needs work.

“I don’t sound like that,” said Parkinson. “I don’t think I can be impersonated.”

Sounds like the gauntlet has been laid down Conor. Do your worst.

The GAA Hour took their show on the road to Castlebar to preview the All-Ireland final with Colm Parkinson, James Horan and some very special guests.
