What is the sign of a true champion?

Any team can lose, get knocked down, or come out the wrong side in an important game.

But what makes true champions, and heroes, is not what you do when you get knocked down; but that you keep getting back up.

Oulart the Ballagh entered this year’s Leinster hurling club final having lost every single provincial decider they had appeared in. They had been called ‘Oulart the Bottlers’ after losing six finals in their history.

Six losses. Six heartbreaking defeats. Six winters of discontent and disgust.

But not 2015.

This year’s team promised that they would finally get over the line, and they did on November 29 as they beat Cuala of Dublin to finally lift the provincial club title.

Just weeks after their camogie side won yet another Leinster title, their brothers, fathers, sons, and cousins went all the way in the Toughest club championship with #TheToughest Win
