The subs on both sides ran faster than half of their colleagues.

The Meath Division Four football League final is currently underway in Páirc Tailteann in Navan.

We’re not sure quite why a football league final is being held just a few weeks before Christmas as the Meath county board can hardly use the excuse of the All-Ireland for delaying club fixtures.

Nevertheless both clubs are fired up for the clash that was level at 0-5 each at half time when a minor skirmish broke out between both teams around centre-field.

Naturally enough subs on both sides were eager to help out their colleagues as they sprinted out onto the field before order was restored.

We don’t see any major punches being thrown by either side and the game has settled back down by all accounts

UPDATE:
The game ended in a one point win for Curraha but there was further ugly scenes at the final whistle by all accounts,
