Take a bow Dónal O Duinnín

The Cork senior football side are in action tomorrow in the Allianz Football league semi final but we think we may have just seen a glimpse of the next boy-wonder from Leeside.

Coláiste Ghobnatán of Ballyvourney in Cork were hoping to retain their All-Ireland C schools title last night when they took on Kildare’s Ardscoil Rath Iomhgháin in the final in Portarlington.

The Cork side trailed by 0-10 to 0-4 at the break but in the second half their challenge was ignited by two incredible solo goals by Cork minor Dónal Ó Duinnín.

The teenager made an incredible 60metre run for the first before raising a green flag while the second showcased his incredible speed and skill as he evades several tackles to ram the ball to the back of the net.

The goals meant the Cork side led by two heading to the final minutes, before three late scores from the Leinster side saw them claim the win by a single point by 0-18 to 2-11.

Despite the disappointing result we expect to hear an awful lot more about this youngster in the coming years from the Cill Na Martra club.
