VIDEO: Clare children perform Haka as gaeilge to help team win Munster club title

Bualadh bos.

We really hope that before Saturday’s Munster intermediate club hurling final in Mallow, the Wolfe Tones team break out this war dance.

The Clare club are in action against Newcestown of Cork in Mallow on Saturday, and they are getting some special support from the pupils of St Conaires National School in Shannon ahead of the game.

The pupils were clearly watching lots of the Rugby World Cup, as they do their best to recreate the traditional New Zealand haka for their local club heroes.

It’s all in Irish too, and even though we’re gone from school a long time now, we can still pick up the ‘bualadh bos’ and the ‘tá mé reidh’ that is the backbone of the chant at the start, as well as the ‘léimigí suasa’ towards the end.

Well done to teacher Gearoid O’Connell and Wolfe Tones Abú!
