Tony Kelly returns as Clare and Cork name teams for Páirc Uí Rinn clash

Jack O'Toole

Clare forward Tony Kelly will return from suspension for the Banner’s third round Allianz League clash with Cork on Saturday.

Clare will face the Rebels at Páirc Uí Rinn with both sides languishing towards the bottom of Division 1A with Cork still looking for a maiden victory after successive defeats to both Kilkenny and Wexford.

Kelly was sent off in the first league match of the season for a high challenge on Tipperary’s Pádraic Maher with his suspension later confirmed by the GAA’s Central Hearings Committee.

Meanwhile Seamus Harnedy returns to the Cork squad from a back injury and will return in John Meyler’s half-forward line alongside Daniel Kearney and Conor Lehane.

Jamie Coughlan has also been added to the full-forward line with the Newtownshandrum forward slotting in beside Aidan Walsh and Patrick Horgan with Conor Cahalane dropping to the bench and Michael O’Halloran dropping out of the matchday squad.
