Kilkenny will line out this Sunday in All-Ireland final without Tommy Walsh being part of a match day squad for the first time in over a decade
The Tullaroan man quit inter-county hurling after last September’s success and has been kept busy hurling with his club since.
The former wing-back played a key role in various Kilkenny All-Ireland wins over a glittering career, but perhaps his most famous September day was the 2012 semi  final when Lar Corbett was detailed to ‘mark’ the bank official rather than the other way around.
It was a plan that backfired spectacularly with the Tipperary hurler back in the spotlight recently after his pub in Thurles was robbed.
When I get the fucking prick that broke into my pub last night and took the weeks takens I will be taking the law into myown hands this time

Local radio station KCLR are continuing their hilarious ‘Kittens to Cats’ Series and in the latest episode Walsh is asked if he has ‘seen’ Lar recently by a young fan.
“That wasn’t me” – 10-year-old Tommy Holmes wonders if Kilkenny legend Tommy Walsh has seen Lar Corbett lately on Kittens To Cats later this week. 😀 😀

Absolute gold.
It’s almost as good as their interview with JJ Delaney who lost his mind when asked about Joe Canning’s love life.
