Final score: Dublin 1-18 Galway 5-19
Almost everything that could have gone wrong for Dublin did go wrong.
Last week’s game was tight but Galway blew the Dubs out of the water within seconds of the throw in during Saturday evening’s Leinster Hurling Championship quarter-final replay in Tullamore.
With 11 minutes on the clock Galway led by 3-05 to 0-01 and there was barely any let up for the Dubs in the remaining 59 minutes.
Amazingly, Ger Cunningham’s side managed to miss two penalties before things turned a little tetchy.
Unsurprisingly the nature of the game caused some delight on Twitter. Here are some of the best offerings …

2 missed penalties. I don't think it's 15 point wind, is it?

Dublin a mess. Pointless starting a row now.

So many little petulant belts by Dublin players tonight that have gone unpunished. #GAA #Consistency

Another goal for Canning, it's a wonder he didn't pick up a second yellow card for that
