It’s almost as good as that Oscar selfie
Hats off the Kerry hurlers this afternoon who made a mockery of the GAA rules of promotion and relegation by winning their way to promotion to Division 1B of the hurling league after a 2-16 to 1-18 win over Antrim.
The Kingdom beat Westmeath to win the Division 2A title and Antrim finished bottom of Division 1B, but still the two sides had to play off in a frankly ridiculous promotion/relegation play off this afternoon.
John Egan proved the hero for Kerry as his injury time point secured a famous win for the Kingdom after three years of finishing top of Division 2A but not getting promotion.
