Kilkenny is a county that are hardly crying out for hurlers, but if the situation ever does arise that they have to import someone in from outside to play the small ball then maybe they could look north to Donegal.

That’s after legendary Irish singer and your gran’s favourite crooner Daniel O’Donnell was spotted in Nowlan Park this week.

The hitmaker, who is one of this country’s most popular entertainers for those of a certain vintage, is filming a new series for UTV Ireland and its understood his visit to Noreside was for a segment for the show.
