Nightmarish football
We’re hearing reports this morning that Dublin and Derry GAA fans are flooding into hospitals complaining of PTSD after last night’s Allianz League clash in Croke Park.
There was echoes of the infamous All-Ireland Football semi final between Dublin and Donegal from 2011, as Derry led by 0-3 to 0-2 at half time in an incredibly defensive display from both sides.
Supporters of both teams are understood to have booed the sides as they made their way off the pitch at the break, with the second half improving slightly as Dublin eventually won by 0-8 to 0-4.
Critics would point out that Derry were scrapping for their survival and a win would have given them a chance of staving off relegation in Division One. Therefore they are allowed play whatever way they want to grind out a result.
Unfortunately some well known former footballers would disagree:
Dublin 0-2 Derry 0-3…. Half time…… That's not football

So Colm ‘Wooly’Parkinson decided to call out Joe Brolly on the horrible tactics employed by both sides on Twitter and emphasise his point with a picture of just one Derry player in the opposition half

To be fair to Joe he may have a point as this picture suggests that Dublin were just as guilty as their visitors in applying negative tactics,
