The weather saw a host of games in Ulster get called off, but the one in Armagh went ahead in pretty harsh conditions
With high winds, driving rain and temperatures in the low single digits it really is the sort of night you wouldn’t put a dog out in all across the island of Ireland. But as the old saying goes, the McKenna Cup stops for no man and two games survived the conditions to go ahead.
Down’s match with UUJ in Newry was played on a fairly sodden surface but we have even more sympathy for the players of Armagh and St Mary’s, who togged out in the Atheltic Grounds this evening.
