The smallest gestures can mean so much.

Irish communities have a long history of helping less fortunate areas in Africa, especially GAA clubs.

And one of the key ways that Irish people show their support for those less-well-off is often in donating various sets of jerseys to kids and adults to foster their love of sport.

We’ve seen pictures of kids playing ball in various county GAA tops over the years and now an image has emerged today of smiling kids in a South Africa township with kits from Belfast club Davitts.

It’s a lovely touch. Although we’re not sure who was behind the donation, we’re sure it’s been very much appreciated.
