Philly McMahon will be available to play in the All-Ireland semi-final replay this Saturday.
The GAA’s Central Competition Controls Committee have opted against charging the Dublin footballer for appearing to use his head against Mayo’s Aidan O’Shea at Croke Park.
The committee have ruled that there was no evidence of contact during the incident, despite O’Shea saying after the game he had been the victim of a head-butt.
An alternative view of the incident has also emerged.
Meanwhile, Cillian O’Connor won’t face a charge over an incident which forced Dublin’s Rory O’Carroll out of the game after just three minutes.
Diarmuid Connolly is currently still suspended for Saturday’s replay.
