One Kerry footballer has added something very special to his kitbag for the trip to Dublin

A wing and prayer

Kevin McGillicuddy

The player is unknown but the motivation is clear.

If Kerry do win the All-Ireland Final tomorrow against Dublin then perhaps we may have already found out why.

Eamonn Fitzmaurice and his squad are making their way to Dublin this afternoon by train ahead of the big match with the Dubs tomorrow in Croker.

And one eagle-eyed fan spotted something quite unusual around the gearbag of one Kerryman this afternoon on the platform in Killarney.

It also looks like some Kerry players are taking an interest in what the media are saying about the game although Mikey Geaney won’t be featuring on Sunday due to injury

And we suspect that this kitbag has seen a few journeys to Dublin over the years

And best of all, the train driver is a Corkman

While there seems to have been a good crowd in Killarney to see the team off
