No double headers as GAA confirm venues and times for All-Ireland senior club semi-finals

No chance of spying on possible opposition

We can’t wait for the first two weekends in February.

The GAA have confirmed where the last eight sides in this year’s hunt for AIB All-Ireland senior club hurling and football glory will be playing their semi finals next month.

As usual the games are spread across two seperate weekends, and all four matches take place in different venues.

First up on Saturday the 6th of February in Pairc Tailteann in Navan is the meeting of Sarsfields and Ruairi Og in the opening All-Ireland senior club hurling semi final.

Throw in is at 2pm with extra time if necessary after the 60 minutes.

On the same day in Semple Stadium in Thurles, Wexford champions Oulart the Ballagh face Na Piarsaigh of Limerick with that game getting underway at 3.45.

Extra time is also penciled in there in case of a draw after the hour.

The football semi finals take place a week later on Saturday the 13th, with the first game the clash of Ballyboden St Endas and Clonnmel Commercials at 4.30 in O’Moore Park in Portlaoise.

The second semi final takes place later that evening in Kingspan Breffni park in Cavan, as Castlebar Mitchells take on Ulster outfit Crossmaglen rangers at 6.30pm under lights.

As per the hurling encounters, extra time is factored into both games and all four will be live on TG4.

The GAA are still confirming the details of the All-Ireland junior and intermediate semi finals and those dates and venues are expected to be confirmed later this week.
