If this is the team Mayo stick with come 3:30pm throw-in, on Sunday, then few will complain.
There may be quibbles over certain positions – Moran being the major one! – but it is as strong a starting fifteen as most counties could hope for when the Sam Maguire is within reach.
Parsons has played a supporting role for most of the summer but did well when called upon against Tyrone. Stephen Rochford may see him as a man who has been there, done it and has worn every t-shirt bar ‘All-Ireland winner’. Having Moran in reserve is no harm either.
Aidan O’Shea is named in the half forward line but expect him to cover almost every blade of Croke Park grass.
