We’re supporting this 100%.
Mayo GAA fans are still trying to come to terms with the news this week that one of the county’s brightest young footballers has died well before his time.
Darragh Doherty was tragically killed in a road crash on Sunday night and hundreds of lovely heartfelt tributes were paid to the 19-year-old on Monday afternoon.
And now former Mayo footballer David Brady has proposed a wonderfully simple idea to remember the Killmaine clubman this weekend in the middle of Sunday’s All-Ireland senior semi final between Mayo and Dublin.
@MayoClub51 @MayoGAABlog @MayoGAA @Elverys.Lets Honour Darragh Doherty as supporters&Mayo people 13thminute Sun 13 sec applause #13ForNo13

Something simialr took place to remember the late Dublin supporters Alan and Stephen Harris and the idea has been given a great reception on Twitter this evening.
At the 13th minute on Sunday….Croke Park will rise and applaud for Darragh Doherty. Spread the word. @MayoClub51 @MayoGAA @Hill16Army

We hope all fans, Dublin and Mayo come together on Sunday afternoon to remember the man who lit up the 2013 All-Ireland minor final and who died far too young.
RIP.
