It might have been all about ‘Mayo Mick’ before yesterday All-Ireland action in Croke Park, but we think we may have seen an even more legendary character in the the Hogan Stand on Saturday afternoon.
It’s not that uncommon for some fans to use the radio on their phones to keep up with a game, especially if their view isn’t superb or they have the bit of myopia like ourselves.
People have even been known to sneak small pocket radios in to listen to the radio commentary on the game and help them to stay in touch with some of the things they may have missed.
But we doubt we’ve ever seen anyone bring in a full ‘wireless’ radio to Croke Park before.
