LISTEN: The GAA Hour is chock-full of Tipp-Mayo preview material AND an interview with Eamon McGee

We're spoiling you

Mikey Stafford

It’s the neutral derby this Sunday.

Mayo are the bridesmaids almost everyone wants to see finally get hitched after 65 years, while Tipperary are the surprise packages of the 2016 All-Ireland football championship.

The Connacht side have found their rhythm through the qualifiers after a shock defeat to Galway, but their Division 3 opposition blew the Tribesmen away in the quarter-finals.

To argue the relative merits of both sides SportsJOE GAA editor Colm Parkinson is joined by Conan Doherty, Barry Cahill and John Evans.

Former Tipperary manager Evans details how he fought off the interests of rugby and football clubs respectively to keep star forwards Conor Sweeney and Michael Quinlivan with the Premier County.

There is also a superb interview with retired Donegal legend Eamon McGee. The 2012 All-Ireland winner was renowned as one of the game’s best man-markers and most notorious ‘talkers’… he lives up to the latter here.
