Wondering why there are late throw-ins this Sunday? Well here’s the answer

Probably not what you thought

The weekend of GAA normally follows the same routine in terms of what time matches throw in.

Qualifiers and the main curtain raiser usually throw in at 2 pm and the main event of the weekend normally starts at 4 pm on a Sunday.

Obviously, there are exceptions and this weekend is one of them.

Dublin will face Westmeath in the featured match on The Sunday Game at 4 pm but strangely enough, Armagh vs.Fermanagh and Offaly vs. Cavan will take place at 6.30 pm in the first round of the qualifiers.

According to Anglo-Celt’s sports editor Paul Fitzpatrick, it is because three Ulster counties are hosting football Féiles this weekend.

None of the matches will be televised, however.
