Kerry start their defence of the All-Ireland championship against a promising Tipperary side next Sunday but it looks like they will have to do it without last year’s captain.
Radio Kerry are reporting that Kieran O’Leary could be out for the championship after sustaining a leg injury in a challenge match yesterday during the Kingdom’s training camp in Portugal.
There are fears Kerry & Crokes footballer Kieran O’Leary’s season could be over due to a leg injury sustained in a squad challenge match

O’Leary captained the side last year after his club, Dr Crokes, won the county championship but was restricted to cameos off the bench. And while Eamonn Fitzmaurice will obviously want O’Leary in his squad, the return of Colm Cooper, Tommy Walsh and Paul Galvin will mean Kerry still won’t be short of attacking options next weekend.
