Hayes will be sentenced in January.
Limerick hurler and five time All-Ireland winner Kyle Hayes has been found guilty on two counts of violent disorder, for an incident that took place in a nightclub back in 2019.
The four time All-star was acquitted of assault causing harm to Cillian McCarthy outside the nightclub on the same night, while Craig Cosgrave was also acquitted.
The jury of seven men and five women reached unanimous decisions after deliberating for over four hours.
Mr Hayes was accused of being part of a “mob” that attacked McCathy outside Icon nightclub in Limerick City on October 28, 2019.
The accused was also believed to have punched Mr McCarthy on the dance floor earlier in the night and squared up to his friend Mr Cosgrave,
He is set to be sentenced on 19 January.
