More time to devote to causing wreck then
If Kerry don’t manage to retain their Munster and All-Ireland titles this year, then it certainly won’t be down to the lack of effort from Kieran Donaghy
The Tralee man,who was central to the county’s success last season, has revealed that from this weekend he will be solely devoted to football as he quits his job in Ulster Bank.
The Austin Stacks man has worked for the bank for the last number of years, but according to the Irish Independent the full-forward is going to commit himself fully to GAA for the summer and beyond.
Donaghy’s move comes just weeks after Karl Lacey revealed that he has quit his job to concentrate fully on his efforts with Donegal, while Donaghy’s former work colleague Darran O’Sullivan also left his job with the bank to concentrate more fully on his sport but is now working with Sky.
The former Footballer of the Year has suffered with numerous injuries over the last few season and his wife is expecting a baby this summer.
Donaghy is also the current Kerry captain and is hopeful of retaining his starting place in the ultra competitive Kerry panel ahead of their championship opener next month.
