Today is the day.
Can Limerick seal the four-in-a-row? Will Kilkenny be the team to stop them. Keep up to date with all the action in our live-blog right here.
For the second year in a row, Kilkenny and Limerick are contesting the All-Ireland senior hurling final.
The all-conquering Limerick hurlers will head into the game as hot favourites, but you can never write off Kilkenny.
They have steadily improved throughout the year, and will be buoyed by the fact that Limerick go into the final minus two of their key defenders, in Sean Finn and Declan Hannon.
One unique sideshow of this final is that Kilkenny’s Cillian Buckley got married on Saturday, the day before the final. The Dicksboro defender scored the winning goal in the Leinster final, having come on as a sub in that game, although he could start today die to an injury picked up by David Blanchfield in the semi-final.
