Stone the crows!
The Kerry football team will be hoping that they will have tonnes of support ahead of their All-Ireland semi-final next week, and they may have found themselves an unlikely supporter all the way from Down Under.
Tommy Walsh is back for the first time in green and gold since a lengthy sojourn in Australia with various AFL sides, and it seems that he picked up one or two celebrity friends along the way.
The forward was contacted this week by Home and Away’s most famous star (after Alf Stewart), Irene Roberts, otherwise known as Lynne McGranger, who by all accounts is a big Sydney Swans fan
The only problem is she tweeted the wrong ‘Tommy Walsh’ and got a Kerryman with the same name who lives in Ballybunion instead of the 2009 All-Ireland winner.
@TommyWalsh1 hey Tommy how's it going? Miss seeing your cheeky mug around the grounds. Hope you're well and happy xxx

The ‘other’ Tommy Walsh realised the error quickly enough.
@LynneMcGranger Hi Lynne, great to hear from you but I think you might be mixing me up with Tommy the former Sydney Swans player?

The imposter decided to let the real Kerry footballer know of his predicament.
@tommywalshkor
Hi Tommy..think this message might be for you as unfortunately I have never met any of the home and away cast😅— Tommy Walsh (@TommyWalsh1) August 12, 2015
And then the ‘real’ Tommy Walsh got involved:

Helpfully a local journalist set her straight with a classic Home and Away line:
@gockarocka @tommywalshkor @TommyWalsh1 funny you should say that ……😜😝…. Thanks Gavin xx
