Meanwhile, in disappointing news for the Cork hurlers, Cork wing back Mark Coleman suffered a broken jaw in Cork training on Saturday morning.
Having missed last year with a cruciate ligament injury, the Blarney club-man had impressed for Cork on his return, in recent games against Kilkenny and Waterford.
But as reported by the Echo, the 26-year-old is set for another spell on the sidelines having suffered the injury during Kerry’s training camp in Dingle.
