The GAA Hour: Kerry v Mayo analysis, Dublin v Cork tactics, Diarmuid Connolly return

SportsJOE

Kerry v Mayo as an event didn’t live up to the billing but the credentials of the home side soared.

The bullied became the bullies, the pretenders became the contenders. Kerry have hit the All-Ireland series sprinting. They’re aggressive, smart and mightily skilful and Mayo were no match for them – something few predicted beforehand.

On The GAA Hour football show, Colm Parkinson, Conán Doherty and Cian Ward dissected the Super 8s battle in Killarney and cast an eye over the other games, and of course talked about the Diarmuid Connolly comeback.

On Monday’s show:

  • David Clarke’s kicking
  • Aidan O’Shea match-up
  • Diarmuid Connolly return
  • David Gough penalty decision
  • Cork show the way
  • David Clifford v Jack McCaffrey
