Mural on the doorstep of Croke Park is everything Dublin GAA is about

A wonderful tribute to Heffo

Darragh Culhane

Croke Park is one of the best stadiums in the world.

It’s better than the Aviva, our comprehensive and totally scientific ranking of which proves just that.

There’s so much tradition with it, walking down St James Avenue after visiting your regular of Quinns, The Big Tree or many more beforehand.

For those who enter from the Ballybough side may notice something come All-Ireland day and anyone that was at Croke Park over the weekend may have spotted the stunning mural on Poplar Row.

Ballybough is one of the Dublin GAA strongholds, people from there and the nearby Fairview love flocking to see Dublin play in Croke Park and so much so that someone opted to pay tribute to former Dublin manager Kevin Heffernan who won three All-Ireland titles as manager of the team,

Heffernan was a member of St.Vincent’s GAA, a club that is located just minutes away from Croke Park and undoubtedly has legend status around that part of North Dublin and the mural is a fitting tribute for a man that gave so much to Dublin GAA over the years.
