Dublin GAA fans plan touching tribute to the Buncrana pier victims in Croke Park

What do you say in a time of tragedy?

Sometimes it is best just to remember, and show support, without uttering a single word.

Two communities in Derry and Donegal are trying to come to terms with an appalling tragedy that saw five lives lost in Buncrana earlier this week.

And on Saturday night, two Dublin GAA supporters groups want to show their solidarity with everyone affected by the events in Donegal with a stunning show of empathy.

Donegal are in Croke Park to face Dublin in their penultimate game of the Allianz football league and the Facebook page ‘The Dubs Supporters, and ‘All Dublin GAA’ have come together to ask supporters to stand up in the fifth minute, and applaud for the victims of the terrible tragedy.

Last summer Hill 16 stood to acclaim the late Harris brothers, as well as young Darragh Doherty, and we feel there will be no problem in people leading their support to two communities united in mourning.
