No Jack McCaffrey in the Young Player nominees.
We’re sure the Clontarf and Dublin star will not be too put out from his exclusion – he is a shoe-in for an All-Star and favourite to win Player of the Year.
The 21-year-old is one of three Dublin footballers nominated for Footballer of the Year.
McCaffrey is joined by tenacious defender Philly McMahon and frontline talisman Bernard Brogan in contesting an award that will be handed out at the Convention Centre, in Dublin, on November 6.
There are no Dubs included in the nominees for Young Player of the Year.
Ryan McHugh of Donegal will be hoping to make it two years in a row but has stiff competition in the form of Monaghan’s Ryan Wylie and Mayo’s Diarmuid O’Connor.
Player of the Year
Bernard Brogan (Dublin), Jack McCaffrey (Dublin), Philip McMahon (Dublin)
Young Player of the Year
Ryan McHugh (Donegal), Diarmuid O’Connor (Mayo), Ryan Wylie (Monaghan)
