We'll go again

Mikey Stafford

We’ll need a couple of weeks to recover before Round 2.

The nation is still getting its breath back after Dublin and Mayo played out a frantic, frenetic, error-strewn, dramatic, flawed, bad-tempered, wonderful, unforgettable, superb game of football.

GAA director general Paraic Duffy reckons he could have sold 140,000 tickets for the All-Ireland final and now he will get the chance to sell out Croke Park twice.

Dublin and Mayo could have sold out Croke Park twice over and now they will get the chance.

Over 160,000 spectators will have seen these two titans go at it by the time Sam Maguire knows where it will be residing for the next 12 months.

The replay is set for Saturday week, October 1st, at 5pm.

Saturday night, under lights. As if we needed the drama ramped up any further.
