Damien Comer proves a dab hand at hurling with amazing sideline cut point

Michael Corry

Damien Comer can hurl…

The Galway captain has carved a career out for himself as a bustling full forward who lead the Tribesmen to a Connacht title this season.

Comer’s frame makes him stand out from the crowd, but his game isn’t just about strength. As is this point against Dublin in the All-Ireland semi final highlights.

The Annaghdown man not only showed off his brute strength, swatting away the challenge of Jonny Cooper with ease, he showed off his ridiculous skill set scoring from an almost impossible angle.

So, we are well aware of what he brings to the football pitch.

Did you know he can hurl with the best of them though?

A photograph emerged recently of Comer lining out for his club side in a hurling game, and boy did he look intimidating.

The sight of Comer coming out with 15 on his back we imagine would be a nightmare for any corner back.

A photograph is one thing, but now footage has emerged of Comer showing off his unique set of skills with the small ball.

The Galway captain recently took to twitter to post a video of himself scoring an absolutely breathtaking sideline cut. A skill that even the best of hurlers can’t master.

It’s clear the Annaghdown player is a man of many talents.

Could we be looking at Ireland’s next dual star.
