Birr’s junior hurlers need a little help from some old friends, on Sunday, as they claimed an opening JHC win over Gracefield and St Brendan’s Park.
The Offaly side sprung two cagey veterans from the bench in the second half – Daithí Regan and Johnny Pilkington, combined age of 92.

Birr won out on the day so we might be seeing the Faithful legends in action again.
