Breaking away from another Welsh victory at Euro 2016 for a moment, Manchester United are swiftly going about their transfer business under Jose Mourinho.
Henrich Mkhitaryan’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund has been announced on Saturday and the capture of Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly from Villareal became common knowledge few weeks back.
And sandwiched between those two signings, they’ve also picked up some Swedish bloke on a free transfer.
I am of course referring to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Having recently left Paris Saint-Germain, the 34-year-old signed a one year deal with United with the option of a further year after that.
Undoubtedly, it’s a big name signing for Jose Mourinho, although many have been quick to point out that his age means United aren’t picking someone up at the peak of their powers.
Despite approaching his 35th birthday, Zlatan is known for keeping himself in great physical condition. And judging by word from his United medical, perhaps time isn’t catching up with him quite as rapidly as some rival fans might have anticipated.
According to them, Ibrahimovic set new records during the power tests he underwent at United’s Aon Training Complex on Friday.
Making history already.

Exactly what this entailed is unknown, but perhaps we should wait until we see him in action for United before we start judging if he’s over the hill. After all, you get the impression Zlatan quite likes to prove people wrong.
