Zlatan Ibrahimovic linked with January move to Manchester United

Does Van Gaal dare to Zlatan?

A lot would need to change for this move to happen.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked with a January move to Manchester United. The Paris Saint-Germain striker is reportedly unlikely to extend his contract with the French giants, and Spanish media outlet Don Balon claim Manchester United’s representatives have met with the 34 year old.

However, we’re not sure even United would be willing to pay the reported €80 million transfer fee.Paris Saint-Germain FC v Stade Brestois 29 - Ligue 1There’s also the fact that Zlatan and United manager Louis van Gaal had a strained relationship during their time together at Ajax over 10 years ago.

When asked by Sports Illustrated back in July what their relationships is like now, the Swedish striker said it’s still “not good.”

“He was a director in Ajax, and the way he is working is not the way I work,” Zlatan said.

When asked if it would be problem to work with Van Gaal now at United, he said it would be a “big problem.”

So maybe take this transfer rumour with a pinch of salt. What’s for certain though is United need creative players and it wouldn’t be boring if Zlatan arrived at Old Trafford.
