Jorge Mendes strikes again

Reuben Pinder

This is the start of a mass exodus from Sporting

Wolves were runaway winners in the Championship last season. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side swept the floor with most of the teams in the second tier with a brand of football that earned plaudits from all around the globe.

They have got their summer transfer business off to a flying start too with the signing of Rui Patricio from Sporting Lisbon.

The Portugal goalkeeper was one of several Sporting players who demanded that the club allowed him to leave after fans attacked a group of players after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Portuguese super agent has helped Wolves acquire players such as Ruben Neves from the Primera Division and Rui Patricio is the latest on the list of top-level players to join the midlands club.
