Being named a player of the year is a nice honour. It means that what you did during a whole season was so significant that you really stood out from your teammates. So to be named the best player in a certain position over an entire decade must be absolutely amazing.

Well Wojciech Szczęsny is one such man after he won an online poll(no pun intended) by Brentford who were looking to select their best goalkeeper over the last 10 years.

The Arsenal man,who’s currently warming his backside on the bench at the Emirates,spent a 28 game spell at the club in the 2009-10 season,when they were mired in League One.

The club produced a short video of his highlights from his time at the club and he clearly can expect a stand to be named in his honour anyday now. Where did it all go wrong Wojciech?
