The final game at the Boleyn Ground was always going to be emotional for West Ham fans.
After more than a century at Upton Park, the Hammers are finally set to move on to the Olympic Stadium. But first there is the small matter of their game against Manchester United this evening.
Fans have turned up to the stadium in their thousands to see the old stadium off, and have caused major traffic jams along the way, delaying the visitors’ team bus.
The Manchester United team bus was hemmed in, and attacked with glass bottles by West Ham fans, which deeply upset Wayne Rooney.
Manchester United finally arrived at the stadium a little after 7pm, and so the kick- off has been delayed from its original time of 7.45pm until 8.30pm so as to give the visiting side a proper warm up.
Shortly after the news was announced, Sky Sports caught up with Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney, who was clearly upset with the behaviour of fans which led to his team’s late arrival.

It’s hard to disagree with Rooney either when you see scenes like this
