There was a bit of a brawl

Darragh Culhane

It all got a little bit heated in Turners Cross.

Anyone who follows League of Ireland will know how dominant Cork City FC have been up to this point.

Twelve games in and Cork have a 100% record, all wins at this point and they lie top of the table on 36 points.

Their closest challengers are Bray Wanderers, lagging behind with 22 points.

Cork extended their lead at the top on Friday after a ruthless performance against struggling Finn Harps, winning 5-0.

And tempers flared towards the end of the match, with Cork goalkeeper Mark McNulty engaging in an altercation with Finn Harp’s Damien McNulty.

Then Finn Harps player Ethan Boyle decided to shoulder barge the Cork goalkeeper in the chest.

There were some classic handbags…

BUT THEN Cork manager John Caulfield got involved, only for security to hold him back from the Finn Harps technical area.

But in the end, the referee gave Finn Harps Gareth Harkin a yellow card.

And one for Cork goalkeeper Mark McNulty.
