Martin O’Neill loved “the YouTube thing.”
The Republic of Ireland manager was reflecting on the country’s experience at Euro 2016 on Monday morning.
O’Neill praised stalwarts Robbie Keane, John O’Shea and Glenn Whelan and their contribution to the campaign on and off the field.

And praised the performances of Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick at the tournament. The pair have played together since they were six years of age, and O’Neill believes the career trajectory of two will offer great hope to young Irish players.

The Ireland manager was also asked about the behaviour of Irish fans at the tournament. O’Neill cited the “YouTube thing” of Irish fans singing to a nun as one of his highlights of the tournament.
